Confidence in the shipping industry has significantly risen over the past six months, according to the annual survey conducted by accountancy and business advice firm BDO.
The rising tide of confidence is taking everyone with it as confidence is growing across all business types and regions. “It is evident that our resilient industry has turned a corner on the COVID-19 pandemic”, says Richard Greiner, BDO Partner and Maritime London Director.
The average confidence level recorded by the survey was 7.2 out of a possible maximum of 10.0. This compares to the figure of 6.6 recorded for the quarter ended February 2021.
