Shipowners Club creates interactive guide to cyber security planning

Mutual association The Shipowners’ Club has produced an interactive infographic to help its Members to ensure they have a cyber security plan in place before the first annual renewal of the Safety Management Certificate after 1 January 2020 required by IMO.

The Club recommends that vessels of all sizes, where appropriate, should implement such measures to prevent cyber related incidents from occurring. To assist, the interactive infographic summarises the key considerations owners and operators should make when building a cyber security plan based on the recommended “Five Functions”.
