From the Cockpit and the Rugby Pitch, all the way to the Boardroom

Maritime London was delighted to welcome Rory Underwood, the former RAF fighter pilot and former England rugby player, and now successful business leader, as a guest speaker at a webinar entitled ‘In conversation with Rory Underwood: From the Cockpit and the Rugby Pitch, all the way to the Boardroom’ on 19th May 2023.

In discussion with Jos Standerwick, Maritime London’s Chief Executive, who hosted the webinar, Rory shared his experiences across business, sport and military leadership. He highlighted how important it is for senior leaders to be aware of, and aligned to, their business strategy thereby creating and maintaining a high-performance environment.

Rory also talked about how having a common purpose, investing in your people to develop their skills and talents, and having processes that are aligned with your goals, enables organisations to deliver their strategy effectively.
